Dumortierite Quartz, also called LOVE QUARTZ, is a very rare stone. Discovered in 2014 in the State of Bahia in Brazil, the deposit in this region produced very little.
This blue borosilicate is in the form of acicular needles in tufts or "sea urchin" inside the rock crystal. It is also found in Quartz in the form of uniform micro-inclusions, at the origin of the blue color.
