RUTIL QUARTZ is a variety of quartz containing acicular rutile inclusions. It is used for gemstones. These inclusions mainly appear golden, but they can also look silvery, coppery red or deep black.
Its composition gives it colours that are perfect for creating original, elegant jewellery. It is extracted from mineral layers whose deposits are located in every corner of the world. It is found in Latin America, the USA, Europe and Asia.
In ancient Greece, black rutilated quartz was the stone of the god Ares, a symbol of vivacity and power.
